SELF-DIRECTEDNESS IN NON-FORMAL ONLINE BUSINESS ENGLISH COURSES: ADULT LEARNERS’ PERSPECTIVES

Self-directedness is vital to adult learners as it allows them stay motivated and achieve effective results while learning online balancing between family work. This research aims determine Lithuanian perceived self-directedness English for Specific Purposes (ESP) in non-formal courses. To this end, their approaches towards the factors of were investigated. The indicators defined by Khiat (2015), including Goal Setting, Time Management, Procrastination Assignment Preparation, Final Test Note-taking Capability, Research Technical Readiness, Online Class Stress Management involved a detailed analysis establish which variables most meaningful ones terms learners’ self-directedness. study revealed that students are highly self-directed Business courses at language school. findings confirmed application its development processes leads higher levels motivation successful outcomes. Based on findings, these perspectives could contribute larger-scale surveys formal informal forms education enhance results.
